Just Blaze Talks Past Beef With Cam'ron

  Former Roc-A-Fella artist Just Blaze recently broke his silence on his past beef with Dipset member Cam'ron, despite creating multiple hit records together in the past including the "Oh Boy" song. According to the producer, they grew apart in the early 2000's due to internal problems at the label.

It was an incident surrounding a Dipset chain that stood out in Just's mind. "I walked into the studio one day and Cam said to me, 'You should've been Dipset,' " he said. "He had just bought like 10 Dipset chains, so I was like, 'I need my chain -- wassup?' " A week passed, and Blaze again asked Cam about securing a Diplomats piece. "He was like, 'Yo, I had the chain but you should've been Dipset,' " Blaze recalled Cam'ron saying. "I said, 'I'm Dipset just as much as I am State Property, just as I am Get Low, just as I am Roc-A-Fella.' " (MTV)

   Young Money's first lady Nicki Minaj recently opened up about her vast admiration for Lil Wayne and how being under his wing drives her to use more creativity. Nicki Minaj says Wayne's own experimental moves provide comfort for her on and off the mic.

"Absolutely. I never have to worry about Wayne thinking I'm going too far left because Wayne has been one of the pioneers in Hip Hop in terms of going too far left, you know? Whether he's singing in Auto-Tune, whether he's doing Rock or playing the guitar or he's getting tats on his face, he kind of always does him. So yeah, it definitely helps." (Hip Hop DX)

     Minaj also went on to describe the sacrafice she made of her privacy since becoming a Young Money star rapper.

"Yeah, of course it gets harder, but it's one of those things. It's the price that you pay. Everyone knows when they get into this game, they kind of know that they're bartering their privacy and they're bartering peace of mind in order to win. None of this comes for free. It's an exchange; you're always exchanging one thing for the other. Obviously what I've gotten so far outweighs the things that I've had to trade in." (Hip Hop DX)

     Senior Vice-President of A&R at Def Jam, Sha Money XL, recently came forward to talk about his top five favorite music industry excutives of all time, ranging from Interscope records CEO to Lyor Cohen.

"Jimmy Iovine is a genius. OK? He was the one who was actually a real music guy who actually gets it and knew the structure of Interscope and could really pay attention to it...L.A. Reid. You know, this guy is in multiple genres of music and [has] sold millions. I mean, one album, fifteen million, next album, ten million...I really think number three should be me...I mean, honestly, it takes a special dude that's able to sit between Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Eminem, all those egos, take leadership from Chris Lighty and Jimmy Iovine." Tyler The Creator Talks Police Detainment

     Odd Future leader Tyler The Creator recently came forward to confirm all the speculation that he was briefly detained by police earlier this week while promoting his new "Goblin" album. While on New York radio station Hot 97 today (May 13th), Tyler denied claims that it was a publicity stunt.

"All me and this dude did was skate past, uh, I guess it was a cop there we skated past," Tyler said in an interview. "And they just came up to us all aggressive like, 'Who are you?' and got out of the car. And I'm like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Why, why? What do you need?' I know he's grabbing my arm saying, 'Oh, you want to be a tough guy.' When I'm around cops, I get really, really deviant and sarcastic." (Hot 97)
